The fastest AFL players of 2025 have been revealed, with Sydney's Nick Blakey taking the crown as the league's speedster this year.

The Swans half-back clocked a top speed of 36.1km/h in his side's Round 12 meeting with Adelaide at the SCG, with that pace 0.2km/h better than the next best in Richmond pressure forward Maurice Rioli.

Both Blakey and Rioli feature twice in the top six speeds recorded by the AFL's tracking system this year, with GWS ace Darcy Jones and Collingwood livewire Bobby Hill both tied for third overall with speeds of 35.8km/h.

Rioli's second-best speed (35.6km/h) for the year came in the Tigers' Round 19 win over West Coast, and may have been clocked during his memorable chasedown tackle on Eagle Brady Hough.

GWS forward Callum Brown is another prolific name among this year's quickest players, featuring five times among the top 25 speeds recorded this year.

Brown's top speed came in at 34.9km/h, while he managed to reach the 34.5km/h barrier four more times.

Melbourne was the only club not to have a player reach the 34km/h mark this year, with young wingman Caleb Windsor their quickest at 33.7km/h.

The fastest AFL player on record is former Geelong forward Gary Rohan, who clocked a time of 37.8km/h in 2023. Blakey's top 2025 speed sees him fall into the top 10 fastest players on record.
