Former Richmond midfielder Marlion Pickett has pleaded guilty to two offences relating to a burglary dating back to 2022.
The 33-year-old fronted court this week, pleading guilty to charges of dealing with money that was the proceeds of crime and possessing money that was the proceeds of crime, while a number of other charges were dropped, per The West Australian.
Pickett was facing charges in relation to multiple commercial burglaries from the 2022-2023 summer period across four WA suburbs.
Thursday's hearing saw 11 charges against Pickett dropped for varying reasons, while the ex-Tiger was alleged to have been paid $15,000 in stolen money, per the publication.
His barrister is said to have informed the judge that Pickett will look to obtain a psychological report prior to his sentencing, which is scheduled for December 4 this year.
Pickett left Richmond at the end of last year after 91 games in yellow and black, a spell that included two premierships.
The South Fremantle product famously debuted in the Tigers' 2019 Grand Final victory after being taken in the Mid-Season Draft earlier that year.
Pickett also played in a VFL Grand Final win in the same season, claiming best-afield honours, and would feature in the Tigers' 2020 AFL premiership side.
He announced his retirement last August and has since featured for local clubs Melton South, Great Western and NTFL club the Tiwi Bombers.
