Mitch Duncan will remain at clubland after officially landing at West Coast in a coaching capacity, taking on the backline group ahead of the 2026 season.
Duncan retired from Geelong after 16 seasons, 305 games and two premierships, and will be part of a refreshed Eagles coaching panel under Andrew McQualter alongside midfield coach Sam Radford.
"It's a fantastic opportunity to join the West Coast Eagles and be part of an exciting new chapter for the Club," Duncan said.
"I'm really looking forward to working with a talented playing group and contributing to their development. There's optimism around the direction the Club is heading, and I'm keen to get started and help drive that growth.
"I'm excited to work under Andrew McQualter and continue expanding my own coaching journey. It's great to be back home in WA, and I'm grateful for the opportunity.

"It'll be a challenge convincing my kids to swap their Geelong colours for blue and gold, but I'm sure they'll come around!"
The 34-year-old will return to his home state for the first time since he was drafted ahead of the 2010 campaign, spending the bulk of his adult life at Kardinia Park.
His experience at a successful club like the Cats will bode well for the rebuilding West Coast side, and hopefully assist their pursuit of lifting from the bottom of the ladder.
"Mitch is a fantastic addition to our coaching team and a great fit for the direction we're heading as a football club," GM of Football Gavin Bell said.
"His experience and calm, thoughtful approach will connect strongly with our developing playing group.
"Mitch's ability to mentor and build meaningful relationships, combined with his leadership, will be valuable as we strive for progress in 2026 and beyond."
