Former Essendon captain Tim Watson has revealed some huge news regarding the future of Brisbane leader Dayne Beams.

Beams' future at the Lions isn't certain, with reports surfacing during the season that the 28-year-old is interested in returning to Victoria.

Brisbane have continually denied that Beams wants to leave the club, but Watson dropped some big news on SEN Breakfast on Monday morning.

“I still think Dayne Beams is on the move,” Watson told SEN Breakfast.

“I’m hearing possibly Collingwood. He would like to go back to Collingwood. Whether they can get that deal done, I don’t know, but that’s what I’m hearing.”

Watson also updated listeners on the playing future of GWS star Dylan Shiel.

Shiel has been linked to a move to either Carlton or Essendon, although Watson believes Hawthorn has come from the clouds to lead the race for the classy midfielder.

“I think there’s a strong likelihood he will move too this year and Essendon has been mentioned, I don’t think they’re the frontrunner, Carlton is in the mix, but I don’t think they’re the frontrunner either," Watson added.

“I think it’s Hawthorn (who are frontrunners).”
