With Callan Ward, Stephen Coniglio returning to full training and an already Josh Kelly and Jacob Hopper available, 20-year-old Aiden Bonar may find it tough to break into a star-studded GWS side.

The 20-year-old may look elsewhere for an opportunity as GWS look to regain key players for their 2020 campaign.

According to Jay Clark of the Herald Sun, the fringe No.11 draft pick of 2017 has sparked interest from multiple clubs but it is expected that if a deal is to be done, it will be during the last two days of the trade period.

He has only played six games in 2019 and was not a part of any finals side.

Essendon could be an ideal match for the big-bodied athletic utility. With the potential exits of Joe Daniher and Orazio Fantasia, the Bombers may need to restore their talent stocks.

Hawthorn is a team who could pursue the utility as they have a history of recruiting talented players who are going through rough periods. Tom Scully and Jaeger O'Meara to name a few.

Bonar's appealing traits include his ability to mark the ball, his pressure acts and potency around goal.
