St Kilda forward Ben Long has received interest from both Essendon and Melbourne, as the 21-year-old wraps up the end of his second season in the AFL.
Long is contracted for 2019, but both the Bombers and Demons are interested in the nephew of former Essendon great Michael Long.
The crafty forward played 10 games this season before a broken foot ended his campaign, and was named as the Rising Star in Round 5 for his 15 disposal, eight tackle and one goal performance against the Giants.
AFL.com.au first reported the news on Wednesday afternoon, and believe Long would prefer to stay at Moorabbin.
The Saints should complete a deal with Melbourne this trade period to bring Dean Kent in to the club, although it is unsure whether Long will be apart of that trade.
