Richmond are reportedly still keen on young Brisbane forward Josh Schache, despite the 20-year-old re-signing with the Lions just three months ago.

The Herald Sun reported on Monday night that Tigers and Lions officials have spoken about what a deal would need to look like between the two clubs, with rumours suggesting Richmond would likely need to part with one of their first round picks.

As it stands, Richmond have picks 15 and 16, although one of those selections could become pick 17, depending on who wins the flag.

The Tigers will likely need to use one of those selections to snap up father-son prospect Patrick Naish, while the other could go a long way in securing Schache's services.

The key forward returned home to Seymour in Victoria twice during the season, and drove back home two weeks ago, skipping Brisbane's NEAFL grand final win earlier this month.

Teammates of Schache's reportedly believe he may not return to Brisbane, with a number of possible suitors - led by the Tigers - in his home state.

The Tigers have been looking at Schache for quite some time, with the Herald Sun reporting their initial interest in the forward began in March.

In his 27-game career with the Lions, Schache has kicked 25 goals, and averages 8.8 disposals and 3.9 marks per game.
