Three-time reigning premiers Hawthorn are set to be very active this trade period, with Jaeger O'Meara, Tom Micthell and Ty Vickery in their sights.

After missing out on the grand final for the first time in four years, the Hawks are looking to regenerate their list with some younger talent through the trade period.

Gold Coast onballer O'Meara has already officially requested a trade to the Hawks, while reports have indicated all season that out of contract Sydney midfielder Tom Mitchell may also be headed to Hawthorn.

Meanwhile, Ty Vickery, the scapegoat for many of Richmond's problems over the past few years, may look for s fresh start, with Hawthorn keen to sign the inconsistent forward.

However, Sportingnews.com reports that the Tigers are also very keen to lure Sydney's Mitchell to Victoria. Richmond's first round draft pick, currently pick No.6, is said to be on the table.

But, Mitchell landing at the Tigers seems a long shot, with Hawthorn believed to be in the box seat should he opt to leave the Swans.

He has enjoyed a career best season this year, playing every game and averaging 28 disposals, four marks and six tackles per game.
