Richmond recently signed Nick Vlastuin and Daniel Rioli to two-year extensions, and the Tigers have now turned their attentions to two more of their premiership stars.

The Herald Sun reports Shane Edwards and David Astbury have been constants over the past few seasons for the Tigers, and are set to be rewarded with contract extensions.

The premiership duo are highly rated at Tigerland, with Edwards set to sign a two-year deal, while Astbury's could be a little longer given he's two years younger than the midfielder.

One Tiger who will have to wait for a new extension is round one debutant Noah Balta, with reports suggesting he'll need to wait until the season is over before entering contract talks.

Balta recorded six possessions and booted one goal during the Tigers' win over Carlton on Thursday.
