Out-of-contract All-Australian Paddy Ryder could be one of the bigger names in this year's off-season, as the veteran has a decision to make regarding his future.
According to AFL.com.au, Port Adelaide is willing to offer Ryder a one-year deal at this stage, given the fact that he is nearing the end of his career as a veteran at the club.
However, the enlisting of premiership player Scott Lycett to Port Adelaide and a smattering of young talls on the club's list, may push the 31-year-old to explore other opportunities, given he could still likely command a multi-year deal at another club.
Ryder, being a restricted free agent, will have to negotiate a trade or enter the draft if his desires are to leave the Power.
He has played all 11 games so far this season and has shown no signs of slowing down, given that he has a history of Achilles injuries.
The Port Adelaide B&F winner (2017) has played 237 games, including 170 of those with the Bombers ranging from 2006-2014.
Meanwhile, Fremantle ruckman Sean Darcy has also sparked interest in rival clubs for his services.
The Geelong Falcons product was drafted by the Dockers in the 2016 draft at pick 38.
Since coming over to WA from Victoria, the big man has only managed to play 17 games for the club, given the lack of opportunity and injury that has plagued him.
The acquisition of versatile ruckman Rory Lobb has meant that Darcy's opportunities are limited, which could inspire a move home.
It is understood that Victorian clubs are monitoring the progress of Darcy.
The 21-year-old is contracted at Fremantle until 2022, but still may look to get out of his contract given he isn't picked as the No.1 big man.
The long list of talls at the Dockers may see some changes in the off-season that could result in Darcy returning home.
