St Kilda is closing in on Adelaide defender Alex Keath, after the 27-year-old underwent a medical at Moorabbin on Monday.

Keath is out of contract at season's end, and is looking for a long-term deal, while the Crows are reportedly only looking at offering him a medium-term contract.

According to Channel 7's Mark Stevens, Keath is one of the Saints' main targets, with St Kilda looking to trade away defender Jake Carlisle if a suitable deal can be struck.

The Western Bulldogs and Melbourne are also keen on Keath's services, although it looks as though the Saints are currently leading the race.

Keath played 18 games for the Crows in 2019, after playing six matches each in his first two seasons.
