Mark Stevens from Seven News says Jacob Townsend is a "strong chance" to return to the GWS Giants in 2020.

Townsend was delisted by Richmond yesterday as he joins, Connor Menadue and Callum Moore weren't offered contracts by the Tigers.

However, Townsend may be given a second chance by the Giants, who he played 28 games for between 2012 and 2015.

The 26-year-old forward managed only one senior game in 2019.

Townsend won the 2017 JJ Liston Medal for being the best performing player in the VFL and played an important role in Richmond's 2017 Grand Final win over the Crows.
