Out-of-contract Adelaide defender Jake Lever has been the speculation of constant rumours all season long and it is now expected that he will leave the club at the end of the season.
Melbourne has reportedly been the front runner to secure the highly rated 21-year-old's services for some time is set to pay plenty of money to lure the young star back home to Victoria.
However, the Dees will have to give up a lot in order to secure Lever, with FoxSports' Jake Niall reporting Adelaide will demand two first round draft picks in return for the defender.
As it stands, Melbourne currently has one pick in the first round, which is pick No.10. The club's next selection is pick No.27.
Melbourne could satisfy the Crows' demands by trading pick 10, plus next season's first round pick, or trade with another club to secure two first round picks for this year's National Draft.
Lever's game has gone to another level in 2017, playing 18 games and averaging 16 disposals, 6.1 marks and 3.5 rebound 50s.
