AFL journalist Damian Barrett believes Carlton are still not out of the race for GWS star Dylan Shiel.
Speaking on Trade Radio, Barrett confirmed the Giants would rather work with the Blues over the Bombers, and says Stephen Silvagni is still at Marvel Stadium trying to crunch a deal for Shiel.

Barrett went on to say the deal has a "long way to go", and it could now be line ball as to whether he leaves for the Blues or Bombers.
However, he did offer his personal opinion alongside Terry Wallace and Kane Cornes, and the trio do believe Shiel will get to his nominated club in Essendon.
