The Blues are reportedly willing to trade a former No.1 draft pick to secure a much needed key position player to help fix the club's forward woes.
According to Sportingnews.com, Carlton will propose a deal to send Bryce Gibbs, Simon White and a first round draft pick to Greater Western Sydney in exchange for Adam Tomlinson and key forward Jonathon Patton.
Since former Giants' list manager Stephen Silvagni moved to Carlton, the Blues have already raided the Giants for several talented youngsters, recruiting the likes of Jed Lamb, Lachie Plowman, Liam Sumner and Andrew Phillips in last year's trade period.
Carlton are a rabble. The recruiting over the years has been extremely poor.I donโt believe Gibbs has much value as a player anymore,to slow and cant impact on a game, but he is not the only one in that mould. Lucky for the Blues they have a ripper in young Cripps, shows there is talent in the draft, but the recruiting mob continually mess this up.
