Geelong coach Chris Scott's old-fashioned spray in Round 1 was a glimpse of football's past.
The Cats trailed by 33 points at quarter-time against Fremantle in front of a home crowd, and stared down the barrel of a 0-2 start for the third time in Scott's tenure.
"We weren't playing the way we wanted to play," Geelong forward Shannon Neale shared shortly after they secured the victory.
"I think the word disgraceful was used."
Geelong assistant coach Nathan Buckley said, on Fox Footy, Scott's quarter-time assault was "a four or five out of 10".
Scott's spray was reminiscent of his predecessors, and with that, we've taken the liberty of compiling the top 10 coaching sprays.
2"I'll spew up" - Wallace goes bang
Terry Wallace dished up an almighty spray when the Western Bulldogs lost to Collingwood in 1996.
Footage recorded Wallace addressing his troops in the changerooms after the game, but has since been placed into football history as one of the greatest sprays.
A visible vein bursting out of Wallace's head and neck accurately reflected the feeling in the room, as everyone tuned into one of the more memorable sprays in football.
