Geelong coach Chris Scott's old-fashioned spray in Round 1 was a glimpse of football's past.
The Cats trailed by 33 points at quarter-time against Fremantle in front of a home crowd, and stared down the barrel of a 0-2 start for the third time in Scott's tenure.
"We weren't playing the way we wanted to play," Geelong forward Shannon Neale shared shortly after they secured the victory.
"I think the word disgraceful was used."
Geelong assistant coach Nathan Buckley said, on Fox Footy, Scott's quarter-time assault was "a four or five out of 10".
Scott's spray was reminiscent of his predecessors, and with that, we've taken the liberty of compiling the top 10 coaching sprays.

The champion coach was known for his abrasive and stern ways, but he took it to a whole new level, forcing his players to sit on the ground at the MCG as he dealt out one of his most infamous sprays.
Most notably, Brodie Holland was sitting right under the nose of Malthouse, with his legs crossed and avoiding eye contact.
The rant didn't alter the outcome of the game, with the Bombers running out eventual winners.
