The showstoppers. The goal scorers. And sometimes, the freaks. The forwards of the AFL have an uncanny ability to drop the jaws of those watching, whether it's high-flying marks and hard-to-believe goals. Yet, the majority believe it's easier than it looks.
Forwards get recognised through the Coleman Medal, rewarding the player for kicking the most goals in the home and away season, while they normally feature heavily in the running for either goal or mark of the year.

7Jamie Elliott
There was an outcry among the football community when Jamie Elliott's name wasn't called out during All-Australian selection.
Nevertheless, his 2025 season won't go down in vain. The Pies superstar kicked a record 60 goals and tallied 157 score involvements.
The clutch Collingwood attacker had two goalless games, but showed up when it mattered most, kicking eight goals in his two finals showings as well as five or more majors on four occasions.
Elliott also made 57 tackles for the season, showcasing his strengths to do the work on both sides of the ball.
