Richmond star Dion Prestia will most likely miss a second straight week due to a hamstring injury.
Prestia missed last Saturday night's five-point loss to the Western Bulldogs at Etihad Stadium due a hamstring complaint and coach Damien Hardwick said the former Sun is only a "slim" chance of returning to the side to face Fremantle.
"He's touch and go this week. We probably think we'll be very cautious with Dion," Hardwick said.
"It's an injury that, if it happened on the game day, he'd be every chance to play.
"It's not a significant injury, it's very minor, but he's an important long-term player for us so we'll make sure he gets it right.
"The chance of him playing this week is slim."
Prestia was restricted to light duties at training with the rest of the rehabilitation group on Wednesday.
The 24-year-old played the first six games of the season, averaging 21.3 disposals.
Meanwhile, Hardwick said Shane Edwards, who has missed the past five weeks with a hip injury, is a chance to return to the side this week.
