West Coast premiership player and veteran Jamie Cripps has signed a one-year extension for the 2026 season.

Cripps was the club's leading goalkicker amid a rebuilding era under new coach Andrew McQualter, proving his leadership and guidance is still pivotal to the next generation.

The East Fremantle product was originally drafted by St Kilda in 2010, but returned home after two years and 16 games, joining the Eagles from 2013.

Since, Cripps has been a mainstay in the WA side, playing 256 games, including the club's 2018 premiership victory over Collingwood.

He is one of four players still on the list from that fateful day.

"We are really pleased that 'Crippa' has signed on for 2026," head of list management and recruiting Matt Clarke said.

"Jamie has been a great servant of the West Coast Eagles, and while his talent is highly valued, the role that he will continue to play in developing our next brigade cannot be understated.

"He is still playing and training at a high level, and we love what he brings to the locker room.

"He has a great connection with Andrew (McQualter) and is really motivated to support him in his 16th season at AFL level."
