Port Adelaide has wasted no time in re-signing the services of youthful trifecta Dante Visentini, Ollie Lord and highly touted midfielder, Josh Sinn.

Despite all three still awaiting their opportunity to taste AFL action, the Alberton-based club has shown a commitment to the trio drawn during the past pair of National Drafts.

Originally brought into the Power's fold during the latest off-season, Sinn and Visentini have both been seen as key figures in the club's future, with the duo inking agreements to extend their stays until the cessation of 2025.

Speaking to portadelaidefc.com.auPower list manager Jason Cripps was effusive in his praise of the teenagers.

“Both Josh and Dante have barely put a foot wrong since arriving at the club in last year’s draft,” Cripps said.

“We knew the talent they had when we drafted them but to see them train hard and show a desire to learn and improve has been really impressive.

“It’s a show of faith from the club to extend their contracts but also a show of faith from Josh and Dante that they want to remain at Alberton and be part of what we are building.”

Having been selected with the 49th pick of the 2020 Draft, Lord - a Victorian-born forward - was offered a one-year extension which will keep him under Ken Hinkley's eye through to the end of 2023.

While the Sandringham Dragons product will enter 2022 as Charlie Dixon's heir apparent, Cripps held the view that the fledgling forward was primed to continue his development.

“Ollie is a great size at 197cm tall and he continues to add some bulk to his frame,” Cripps continued.

“Last year was a real test for his body after not playing any footy in his draft year because of the pandemic, but we have been pleased with his ongoing development as he settles into the AFL environment.”

Although it is not yet known whether the trifecta will have entered Ken Hinkley's plans for Round 1, Port Adelaide will commence their lastest campaign when they travel to take on Brisbane at the Gabba on Saturday, March 19.
