Port Adelaide have confirmed Jase Burgoyne will remain in the black and teal until at least 2029, locking down the winger with a four-year contract extension.

Burgoyne, a father-son selection from the 2021 National Draft, has quickly become a key figure in the Power's midfield, his outside running a crucial element in Port Adelaide's attack. He's posting career-best numbers in 2025, averaging 20 disposals, 5.3 marks, 2.6 inside 50s and 7.1 handball receives, including a career-high 32 disposals against Richmond in Round 2.

โ€œI'm really excited to stay on for four more years,โ€ Burgoyne said.

โ€œI've really enjoyed my time at the club so far and have made some great friendships over the journey. I'm loving how the coaches have helped my role evolve, so I can impact for the team as much as possible.

โ€œWe have such a great young group and I feel like there is a lot to look forward to.

"Four years is a big contract and being from Adelaide that's something I was happy with. My family and friends are here and I was happy to stay. For [Port Adelaide] to give me four years shows they have faith in me and they believe in what I can do so I'm very happy."

Burgoyne joins a plethora of Power talent to recommit to the club this year, with Miles Bergman, Logan Evans, Kane Farrell, Dante Visentini and Josh Sinn all extending in recent months. Burgoyne said these decisions buoyed his confidence and made his decision to stay a "pretty easy" one.

"I'm not too sure about any other clubs [making an offer], I just play footy and let my manager do the talking with list managers. For me, it was a pretty easy decision to stay and choose Port Adelaide," Burgoyne told media on Thursday.

"[The re-signings] gave me a lot of confidence to sign on, more than I already had. Obvioulsy Miles Bergman [re-signed] who is such a key part of our team now and had such an amazing year. There was a lot of speculation about him going and he decided to stay two more years.

"Josh Sinn is probably my best mate at the club, he signed for another two years as well, so I'm really excited for what they can bring and what our young talent coming through [can bring] as well."

Burgoyne's move to the wing this season has not detracted from his defensive skills that saw him play 23 games last season. He's one of the Power's leaders in defensive pressure acts (7.4 per game) and intercept marks (1.1). Port Adelaide list manager Jason Cripps highlighted Burgoyne's rapid improvement in the versatile winger role in 2025.

โ€œIt's been great watching Jase grow his game, especially over the last two seasons,โ€ Cripps said. โ€œJase has continued to act on feedback from his coaches with the right attitude and has taken every opportunity to learn and improve his football."

โ€œHis defensive acts, two-way running and work in the air are important aspects of his role, and we can see plenty more growth in the future for Jase.โ€

Jase Burgoyne and the Power continue their season on Sunday, taking on the West Coast Eagles at Adelaide Oval at 4:40pm AEST.
