Port Adelaide have revealed utility Miles Bergman required further surgery on his right shoulder following issues that were made present after his initial procedure.
Bergman was among eight Power players that went under the knife in September last year, requiring a Latarjet stabilisation procedure early into the off-season.
The club has since revealed that the 20-year-old's procedure led to further difficulties in Bergman's troubled shoulder following a routine check, with a surgical screw revealed to have come loose.
The Power have revealed that Bergman is set to return to training on Monday as he begins his third season at Alberton Oval.
The Sandringham Dragons product has played 23 games for Port Adelaide since joining the club via the 2019 National Draft with Pick 14.
Bergman played all but one game in 2021 after making his debut in Round 1, emerging as a key contributor to Ken Hinkley's side across defence and midfield.
