Port Adelaide defender Matthew Broadbent has been withdrawn from the Power's squad to face West Coast on Sunday at Domain Stadium.

Broadbent has battled with an ankle injury over recent weeks, and has been replaced in Port Adelaide's 25-man squad by forward Brett Eddy.

The 26-year-old missed Port Adelaide's clash with Collingwood in round 14 due to an ankle problem he suffered in the previous game against Brisbane, before returning to the Power's team last weekend against Richmond.

Broadbent collected 13 disposals and three rebound 50s against the Tigers, but failed to prove his fitness midweek and has been left out of their travelling side.

Eddy made his debut for the Power in round one this season as a mature-aged recruit, and played the opening three rounds before being forced out of the side.

Port Adelaide will confirm their 22-man playing squad at 5pm on Friday.
