Port Adelaide has added another piece to their puzzle under coach Josh Carr, with Tim Parham announced as the Director of Athletic Performance, a newly created position at Alberton.

The Power is undergoing an era of change, which has already seen senior coach Ken Hinkley move on, as well as the retirements of Travis BoakWillie Rioli, and Rory Atkins, and the departure of assistant coach Chad Cornes.

Chris Davies, former Head of Football, has also taken on a role at Carlton after a lengthy stint in South Australia, while Ryan Burton, Jeremy Finlayson, Dylan Williams, Lachlan Charleson, Hugh Jackson and Jed McEntee all delisted from the club.

Parham, who will be a cog in the Power's new coaching outlook headed by Carr, joins the Power with a litany of experience that has seen him travel the world.

He spent the past five seasons at cross-town rivals Adelaide as the Head of Player Health and Performance Rehabilitation (2020-2024). Before that, he was the Rehabilitation Coordinator at the EPL club Arsenal (2018-2020).

"By bringing athlete performance, sport science and medical services together under Tim's leadership, we are aligning all aspects of player preparation," Port Adelaide CEO Matthew Richardson said.

"Tim has built an impressive career across the AFL and internationally in the EPL, and his ability to build great relationships and trust sees him perfectly placed to lead our program.

"He has earned this opportunity, and we have great confidence in his ability to lead a team which will enhance the development and performance of our players."

Port Adelaide's injury woes throughout 2025 were well documented, and will be an area of improvement heading into the new campaign.

Prior to the completion of their year, Hinkley revealed that the club had 18 surgeries by the beginning of August, with four matches remaining.
