Collingwood's planned board meeting on Tuesday night was always going to have a high amount of media attention. However, no one suspected to uncover the Pies' future plans through the window.

Channel 7 obtained vision through the Holden Centre windows that displayed a number of objectives on a whiteboard in a room which Essendon great Tim Watson later discussed on SEN radio.

Collingwood's future objectives were:

โ€” A restructure of the list management division

โ€” Providing a mentor for the senior coach

โ€” Improving specific areas of Collingwoodโ€™s game, including kicking skills, goal kicking, tackling and ruck work

โ€” More input from the clubโ€™s leadership group in list management and recruiting

โ€” Formal education for player leadership

โ€” Review and repair Total Player Payments (TPP) model over the next 12 months

โ€” Greater transparency in future staff appointments

โ€” A more visible head of football, and

โ€” A staff survey wanted more opportunities for player/coach feedback and greater evidence for living the clubโ€™s values

While Nathan Buckley's future is a topic on the lips of many in the football world, president Eddie McGuire maintained his silence on the matter.

โ€œHe is coach until the end of the season and thatโ€™s what his contract says,โ€ McGuire said after the two-and-a-half hour meeting.

โ€œWe are pretty firm on that at Collingwood. And that contract ends at the end of the season ... (Itโ€™s) not too far away.โ€

The most notable point from the list of objectives is their view of providing a mentor for a senior coach, whether that be Nathan Buckley or a new coach.

Providing Buckley with a mentor in his seventh season of coaching would be a somewhat bizarre decision, particularly after Rodney Eade was in a similar position at the club as 'Football and Coaching Strategist' from 2012-2014.

McGuire confirmed that Geoff Walsh was the man in charge of the review of the club and it was his findings that were written on the whiteboard. The Collingwood president also revealed on Wednesday morning on Triple M radio it was the "IT guys" who left the blinds open and allowed people to see into the room.

โ€œWe were aware of it last night. It happened before the board meeting. The IT guys were just putting stuff up on the board,โ€ he said.

โ€œThere is nothing in there to suggest anything because there have been no decisions made.

โ€œItโ€™s disappointing when things like that (happen) - people shooting through the window - but thatโ€™s bad luck.

โ€œTheyโ€™ve got blinds there, clearly the IT guys werenโ€™t aware that people were out the front or that people would shoot through the window.โ€
