The best part about entering new footy season is that it's a fresh slate - every club starts from zero.
Optimism is high as fans relish in the prospect of their club making some form of improvement on last year, whether that's contending for a premiership, returning to September action, or seeing young players blossom into genuine superstars to push a rebuild forward.
Whether they've just won back-to-back premierships or are coming off a one-win campaign, each club has something to look forward to next year.
So, here's one thing your favourite club should be excited about entering the new year.
Fremantle
Brownlow possibilities

The Dockers damaging midfield duo of Caleb Serong and Andrew Brayshaw regularly poll strongly on Brownlow Medal night, combining for 191 career votes in their short AFL careers thus far.
In fact, the pair have recorded 16 three-vote games each, which ranks second all-time for Fremantle. Serong and Brayshaw have accomplished this at the ages of 24 and 26 respectively, meaning they are still very much in the early days of their prime and now surrounded by one of Fremantle's strongest ever lists.
With the purple haze expected to take a leap into the top four in 2026, one of these two ball-winning monsters is likely to poll enough votes to be in and around the top five on Brownlow night - and potentially win it to become the second Docker in club history to do so, following the suit of recently retired legend Nat Fyfe.
