Will Day stays healthy

Assuming he can finally get an injury-free run at things, Hawks fans firmly believe Day could revolutionise a Hawthorn side that has already won three September fixtures in his absence.

There's a good reason for that, too. Will Day has obvious superstar potential, but his injury interruptions have prevented him from truly illustrating that at AFL level consistently.

Day managed just six games in 2025 but was arguably Hawthorn's best player in each of those games, being clinical with ball in hand and damaging via his clearance game. A full 23 games in 2026 could see Hawthorn well and truly in the top four hunt.
