North Melbourne has delisted defender Ed Vickers-Willis ahead of next month's AFL draft.

The 24-year old has played 21 games for the Kangaroos since making his debut in the 2015 season, battling injuries for the majority of his career.

North Melbourne GM football Brady Rawlings thanked Vickers-Willis for his contributions to the club.

“It’s never an easy decision to delist players, particularly Ed who has contributed so much to our program,” Rawlings told nmfc.com.au.

“Ed endured a few hurdles with injury throughout his time and showed great determination through his rehabilitation.

“He’s been a great role model and ambassador on and off the field and we wish him all the best for the next chapter.”

He joins Paul Ahern, Joel Crocker, Majak Daw, Sam Durdin, Lachlan Hosie, Ben Jacobs, Jamie Macmillan, Thomas Murphy, Jasper Pittard, Marley Williams, Mason Wood, new Cat Shaun Higgins and Demons bound Ben Brown in departing the club.
