North Melbourne defender Riley Hardeman has sent fears into Arden Street after he fell and clutched at his left ankle in Friday's match simulation.
During the second term, Hardeman contested a mark against Melbourne's Tom Sparrow, but immediately pulled up lame.
The 20-year-old was assisted from the field by Kangaroos trainers, but was showing signs that he couldn't put weight on his left leg.

Hardeman has been ruled out of the remainder of the clash with an ankle injury.
As for the Demons, they lost recruit and key forward Brody Mihocek to concussion.
Mihocek crossed from Collingwood in the pre-season, and had impressed in his new colours in the first quarter, slotting two goals.
However, the premiership Pie will miss at least the next 10 days, meaning he'll miss Melbourne's official practice match against Richmond.
