Ross Lyon has reiterated his desire to remain Fremantle coach, despite Dockers fans urging the club to sack the coach following their 92-point thumping in the Derby.

Three separate change.org petitions have been uploaded by Dockers fans since their dismal showing against the Eagles on the weekend.

Lyon is contracted until the end of next season and will not walk away from his contract unless the Dockers decide to part ways with him.

“I can guarantee you I’ll be around [in 2020]. My performance dictates [I’ll] be around,” Lyon told reporters on Monday.

“We’re a rebuilding team, we’re 7-8. Three weeks ago I was being lauded, so I never fell for it then and I’m not falling for it now.

“If we don’t measure it on the body of work, it’s nonsensical and it is hysterical. But I just do my job. I find that’s stood me in pretty good stead.”

Three defeats in a row have dumped the Dockers out of the top eight. They will aim to resurrect their season when they face Hawthorn at the MCG on Saturday afternoon.
