There is growing concerns about new Richmond recruit Tom Lynch's round one availability.

According to afl.com.au, Lynch is a fortnight away from partaking in match simulation and will miss the Tigers intra-club match on Saturday and two JLT Community Series matches.

Richmond star Jack Riewoldt confirmed to afl.com.au, Lynch is still two-weeks away from returning to match simulation but will not be rushed even if it means he misses round one.

"If he's not, he won't, same with round one. We'll take the slowly, slowly approach with him and we know he's going to be a great player for us in the long-term," Riewoldt told afl.com.au.

The Tigers face Melbourne in Shepparton on March before facing Hawthorn in Launceston on March 9.
