West Coast is expected to receive four extra rookie spots as well as an end-of-first-round pick in its assistance package from the AFL.
The Eagles secured the 2025 wooden spoon after a one-win season, and have struggled to make inroads into their rebuild in the past four years.
The Western Australian club proposed multiple concessions to the AFL, and is expected to be granted more list spots and another crucial selection in the hope of accelerating its improvement.
“My understanding is the expectation is the Eagles would get up to four rookie spots, to be used for NGA and some experienced options, plus likely an end-of-first round pick as the major part.

The increased list spots could be used on NGA prospects or experienced players.
The Eagles also requested that the AFL not reduce their compensation for the departing key forward, Oscar Allen, if they acquire a big fish in free agency of their own.
Allen is on his way to 2025 premiers Brisbane, but West Coast were hopeful of luring Brandon Starcevich.
However, the Lions defender suffered a concussion in the decider, and given his history of head knocks, will be treated cautiously as his future remains up in the air.
West Coast's overall asking is near-identical to the one the AFL approved for North Melbourne at the end of 2023, bearing similar traits regarding increased rookie list spots and late first-round selections.
The Kangaroos received three extra first-round selections over two years and an additional two rookie spots.
As it stands, West Coast currently hold Picks 1, 15, 19, 33 and 51 for the 2025 National Draft, though they are expected to add Pick 2 to their arsenal following Allen's free agency departure in October.

Won a premiership a few years back and still a swathe of concessions, I’m guessing St.Kilda should get backdated picks. Still can’t see how Allen is worth pick 2, barely plays a game, should be on $850k. Better be on $1.2m to get pick 2.
