Hawthorn has made a late change ahead of this afternoon's clash with Collingwood at the MCG.

Young ruckman Marc Pittonet has come into the side for just his third career game.

He replaces Ben McEvoy in the selected 22, who has been withdrawn due to back soreness.

McEvoy has played every game so far this season.

“Ben has had a bit of back soreness and a disjointed week with the birth of his first child,” general manager of football, Chris Fagan said.

“We decided not to risk him, but we expect him to be fine to play in our first final in two weeks.”

The Magpies will go into the match as named.

A win over Collingwood will secure a top four finish for Hawthorn.
