The Brisbane Lions have told five players they will not be offered contract for the 2018 season and beyond.
Michael Close, Claye Beams, Cian Hanley, Reuben William and Matthew Hammelmann have all been delisted by Brisbane, with Beams the most experienced of the quintet, playing 54 AFL games.
Brisbane List Manager Dom Ambrogio thanked the players for their efforts, and wished them well for the future.
โWe are grateful for Michael, Claye, Reuben, Matthew and Cianโs contribution during their tenures with the Lions,โ Ambrogio told the clubโs website.
โThis time of year is always difficult, especially letting five good people go. We wish them the best in their AFL careers and hope they have another opportunity soon.โ
