A change is coming to most of the AFL clubs' theme songs in 2018, with the League set to redo 16 of the 18 songs ahead of the new season.
In a developing story, AFL Clubs have a directive to use new theme songs. One's I've listened to so far sound ok. Little younger. It'll create debate!

The theme songs of Gold Coast and GWS will remain the same given the clubs entered the AFL less than 10 years ago, although every other side will see their song receive a face-lift.
Songs will be updated to fit in with the current landscape, although it will seemingly take away from the years of tradition most club songs are built on.
Every club's theme song has been re-done for 2018 season. Honestly, the AFL won't rest until they ruin everything. Hopefully we see a similar backlash to the Mike Brady-recorded Essendon theme song at start of 1999 which got canned after 2 weeks and went back to Fable Singers!
