Carlton has reportedly interviewed Port Adelaide Michael Voss for the vacant head coaching position at the club.

According to Foxfooty.com.au, the Blues interviewed Voss on Wednesday, as he was absent from Port Adelaide training.

The former Brisbane coach has been given Ken Hinkley's blessing, with the Power coach privately praising him over recent weeks.

Voss is the first candidate to interview with the Blues, with Carlton set to formally interview interim-coach David Teague at the end of the season.
