Western Bulldogs midfielder Tom Liberatore has re-signed with the club.

The 27-year old has put pen to paper on a new new two-year deal, tying him to the Kennel until the end of 2021.

Liberatore was stoked to commit his future to the Bulldogs.

โ€œBeing loyal to my teammates is a big thing for me,โ€ he told the club website.

โ€œIโ€™ve been part of this group for nine years now, and Iโ€™m happy where I am.

โ€œItโ€™s been good to come back from injury and play every game so far this year, and nice to sign on for two more years to have that comfort around the future.

โ€œIโ€™m really looking forward to the back half of the year, and how we can grow this year and over the next couple of years.

โ€œThis group has the promise and the talent to get back to the top, and weโ€™ve shown that ability in certain games this year. I think that we will keep getting better.โ€

The tough nut has made a strong return from an ACL injury this season, averaging 23.1 disposals and 24.8 pressure acts per match.

Bulldogs list manager Sam Power was excited to see the son-of-a-gun sign on.

โ€œWeโ€™re obviously rapt to have Tom sign on for two more years,โ€ Power said.

โ€œHe is an important player for our football club with the way he plays, as he has shown throughout the first half of this year in his return from a second ACL reconstruction.

โ€œTom is the type of player who makes his teammates walk taller.

โ€œHis selfless approach to the game makes those around him better players, and we know he is driven to help this group taste success in the years to come.โ€
