Geelong coach Chris Scott has confirmed that veteran Jimmy Bartel will miss this weekend's clash with Brisbane at the Gabba.
Bartel was named in the 25-man squad when teams were released on Thursday night, however, Scott told reporters on Friday that the 32-year-old will be rested this weekend.
Meanwhile, Scott confirmed that defender Andrew Mackie will return after missing last Sunday's come from behind win over Richmond at the MCG.

Jed Bews and Darcy Lang have also been added to the extended bench.
The final, 22-man side will be finalised at 5pm on Friday afternoon.
