Scans have confirmed that Western Bulldogs forward Tory Dickson will be sidelined for at least four weeks, after the forward sustained a hamstring injury against Fremantle on the weekend.
“Tory suffered a hamstring injury after overstretching in a contest in the second quarter of the game on the weekend,” Medical Services Manager Chris Bell told westernbulldogs.com.au on Monday.
“Scans today have confirmed a moderate grade injury which means that we will be planning a return to play in about 4-6 weeks.”
Meanwhile, young defender Aaron Naughton will be back in training by the end of the week after receiving a heavy blow that left him bloodied.
“Aaron suffered a direct blow to his face in the third quarter of the game on the weekend,” Bell said.
"Luckily he didn't suffer any concussion symptoms but he did get a cut to his chin.”
“He's come in really well today and we expect him to full train later in the week.”
The return date for power forward Jack Redpath remains unknown after he missed the trip to Perth with knee soreness.
“We're working really hard to get Jack back out there on the track,” Bell said.
“At this stage we'll have more of an accurate idea when we can get him back into training in the next one to two weeks.”
The Bulldogs is set to take a precautionary approach as it is the same knee in which Redpath has suffered two previous reconstructions.
Lastly, Hayden Crozier looks set to be available for selection after recovering from an MCL injury suffered in round 1.
“He's still got to get through training this week but if he ticks all of our boxes this week he'll be available ,” Bell said.
The Bulldogs face the Blues on Friday night.
