North Melbourne veteran Shaun Higgins has signed a one-year contract extension that will see him remain a Roo through to the end of the 2021 season.

Higgins was already contracted for the 2020 campaign, with the 31-year-old turning his back on intense interest from Geelong.

Higgins has played 91 games for North Melbourne since moving to the Roos from the Bulldogs at the end of the 2014 season.
