Carlton will hand an AFL debut to first-round draft pick Liam Stocker on Sunday when they clash with North Melbourne at Marvel Stadium.

The Blues were involved with a live trade with Adelaide last year, in which the Blues and Crows swapped 2019 first round picks to allow Carlton to grab Stocker with pick 19.

โ€œLiam Stocker will play. Heโ€™s had a few really solid games in the VFL,โ€ Bolton said.

โ€œBeing in your first year, when you come from the NAB League to a real systematic game, heโ€™s been learning that under Dale Amos and Shane Watson.

โ€œItโ€™s a great opportunity for him and a great chance for our defenders who have been working really well together to give โ€™Stockโ€™ a go at half-back.โ€

Carlton coach Brendon Bolton confirmed the news during his press conference on Friday, while also telling the media Charlie Curnow will return to the line-up.
