On Tuesday morning, the three field umpires for the 2017 Grand Final were selected and announced.
Shaun Ryan, Simon Meredith and Matt Stevic will officiate Sautrday's clash between Adelaide and Richmond, as both sides are just one win away for premiership glory.
Ryan will be in the centre for his sixth grand final, after officiating all five grand finals between 2008-2011, including the grand final replay in 2010.
This grand final will be Meredith's fifth, after taking control 2012, 2014-2016. It will be his fourth decider in a row.
Saturday's game will also be Stevic's fifth in charge, and has officiated alongside Meredith in the same four grand finals.
It will also be his fourth in a row.
“We’re really confident and proud of what these guys have achieved this year. We think we’ve got a really strong crew and umpiring really well,” Umpires coach Hayden Kennedy told foxsports.com.au.
“His (Meredith’s) management and communication have been absolutely superb and his decision-making has been a strong point.
“Matt (Stevic’s) strength is management and his decision-making. A brilliant bouncer as well.”
“It took us a little while to get him (Shaun Ryan) back, so after three years he came back to the fold.”
