Collingwood has launched a strategic review of its entire football department and operations to help better the club achieve both its on and off-field goals.
The Herald Sunย confirmed the news on Tuesday night, with the Magpies appointing businessman Peter Murphy to lead the review, which will look into every department of Collingwood football, including the men's and women's football operations, as well as Collingwood's netball department.
The review could have an impact on Collingwood's end-of-season analysis, and could look at the coaching staff, which includes out-of-contract coach Nathan Buckley.
Collingwood president Eddie McGuire told the Herald Sun the review would provide a clear outlook on what the Pies need to do to better themselves over the next decade.
โThis blueprint will serve as a top-to-bottom guide for the next phase of our clubโs great journey,โ McGuire said.
โIt will unlock further enormous potential and help to neutralise the encroaching impact of AFL equalisation policies.โ
Murphy has been working with the club's board in recent years as a consultant, and is currently involved in the Magpies' foundation.
