Sydney has received positive news on the injury front, with Kurt Tippett and Callum Mills a chance to play again in 2016.
Both Tippett and Mills have been ruled out for this week's do or die semifinal against the Crows at the SCG, however, remain a chance to return should the Swans advance to the semifinal.
Tippett consulted a surgeon on Monday afternoon and has avoided surgery after suffering a hairline fracture in his jaw.
“He won’t play this week and we’ll assess what his return-to-play timeline is after that, but some positive news there with Kurt for sure,” General Manager of Football Tom Harley said.
Harley also confirmed that Mills could return if the Swans advance.
“It’s a grade one strain, which is the lowest strain you can have in a hamstring, so he’s a one-to-two week (injury) and also a bit like Kurt in that the prognosis is more positive post-scans than it perhaps was during the game,” Harley said.
