Richmond forward Tom Lynch has extended his career into a 16th season, signing a one-year contract with Richmond for the 2026 season.

It comes ahead of his return from a five-week suspension this weekend against St Kilda.

The 32-year-old's leadership in an inexperienced forward line has proven pivotal for the Tigers this year, with Lynch providing important stability as young key forwards Harry Armstrong, Tom Sims, and Jonty Faull have all debuted.

Across 102 games for the yellow and black, Lynch has kicked 227 goals, after 254 in 131 games for Gold Coast.

“Tom is a terrific person who has had an enormous impact at our Club,” Richmond's Executive General Manager Football Talent, Blair Hartley, said.

“His leadership and on-field presence remain incredibly valuable, and we are undoubtedly a better team with him out there.

“Tom has taken great pride in mentoring our young forwards and emerging talent, and his hunger to help drive the group forward is as strong as ever.

“We are thrilled that Tom's time at Richmond will extend into an eighth season and look forward to seeing what he can continue to achieve as part of our team.”
