Gold Coast v Brisbane
It was only a pre-season Q-clash, but it was still a lively encounter between these two. Gold Coast had most of their draftees on show, but none really tore the game apart. Jack Bowes and Will Brodie had 11 disposals each, while Ben Ainsworth only had seven, but kicked a nice goal.

David Swallow was impressive upon his return with 15 disposals, but Aaron Hall was best afield, the 26-year-old had 33 disposals in 72% game time for the Suns. Hopefully he can sustain that form over the course of the year and not fall away like he did in 2016.
For the Lions, it was the usual suspects getting their hands on the ball. Rohan Bewick had 28 disposals, Zorko, Lester and Rockliff also had plenty of it. No.1 draft pick Hugh McCluggage showed signs in his first appearance for the Lions with 14 disposals, eight were contested.
