Similarly, Chelsea cleaned out the likes of John Terry, Branislav Ivanovic and even then-manager Jose Mourinho in 2016 before rejuvenating the squad for a successful 2017 title push.

Everton are not usually bottom of the league, did you only start following the PL this season? They’re usually firmly in the top half of the league but never win anything. Like how Adelaide keep making the finals but haven’t won a flag in 20 years.
