In-form Adelaide key forward Riley Thilthorpe is hoping to avenge the club's narrow one-point loss to Gold Coast when they take centre stage in Round 18, but refused to buy into the personal rivalry with Suns defender Mac Andrew.
The last time these teams met ended in a fiery encounter between the two emerging stars, which even boiled over the final siren as the Suns saluted a victory by the barest of margins.
But as the game ticked into the final minute of the close contest, Thilthorpe gave away a free kick to Sam Collins, which all but sewed up the result. In defence of his teammate, Andrew remonstrated, screaming, pointing and sledging the Crows big man, albeit with five goals under his belt.
The footy world is about to converge on Adelaide but Crows forward Riley Thilthorpe may already have one eye on a rematch with the Suns in round 19. Sunday's clash between the two clubs is set to have major ramifications on the season and will influence the finals race.
Fresh off a career-best six-goal haul, Thilthorpe and Adelaide will look to square the ledger against Gold Coast in front of a home crowd.
"We unfortunately went down by a point, so we remember that pretty clearly," Thilthorpe said.
"Hopefully we'll just let the footy do the talking and get a nice win, but we'll see how we go.
"I think it's just footy, it comes with it. I think he's (Andrew) a very fiery bloke, and that's just how he plays his game, on edge.
"We'll just go out there and try to get the win - coming off a really tight loss earlier in the year gives us more motivation, but it is also the same every week, so we'll just stick to the process and try to get it done."
Both clubs are enjoying a three-game win streak as the pair are pushing towards a top four finish.
