Richmond's Dion Prestia will go around again in 2026 after inking a new deal at the club.

Prestia joined the club ahead of the 2017 season, when the club broke the 37-year premiership drought.

The 32-year-old also played an integral role in delivering the 2019 and 2020 premiership cups, and was a Jack Dyer medallist in 2019.

Amid an era of change, Prestia has become a leader for the next wave of stars coming through Punt Road, helping Adem Yze direct the club into the future.

Prestia has played 142 games for Richmond across the past nine seasons, taking his career tally to 237 matches after 95 outings with Gold Coast as an inaugural Sun.

He will be in reach of the 250-game milestone.

"We are rapt to have Dion locked in for another year at the club, he continues to be a highly valuable player for us and will play an important role for us next season," Richmond Executive General Manager, Football Talent, Blair Hartley said.

"Our young players will continue to learn a lot from Dion, and we are looking forward to seeing what next year holds for him as a key part of our group."

The club has already made list changes, with Jacob Bauer and Mate Colina left without deals for next year.

Premiership wingman Kamdyn McIntosh will also depart the club after not being offered a contract for 2026.

Calls on Campbell Gray, Hacob Blight, Kaleb Smith, Oliver Hayes-Brown, Thomson Dow, Tylar Young and Tuler Sonsie are yet to be confirmed.
